Day 10
Today both grandmas came to visit and Hannah had her first bath! Hillary and I learned how to do a "swaddle bath" on her. She didn't like having her arms washed, but she sure liked washing her legs. She kept kicking them out for us to rub. We didn't hold her very much today because the nurse explained that the better she slept, the more weight she would gain. Imagine our surprise when we found out that at her nightly weighing, she weighed 10 grams (about 1/3 of an ounce) less than last night. The nurse told us she might still go home tomorrow (Wednesday), but not to be surprised if the doctors decided to keep her another day to see if her weight increases. So, we're going to the hospital prepared to take her home but understanding that it might not happen just yet.

Hannah is absolutely adorable. I’m so glad to see her doing so well!! I just love the picture of Hillary and Hannah at the bottom of this post. Precious. Thanks for sharing the pictures and updates – now I don’t have to ask my mom the daily question of ‘how is Hil’s baby?’ :)

Hey you guys, I checked in to see if Hannah got to come home yet. What no update? Oh well, I knew what to do, I called Grandma Brenda! Sounds like she is doing great but not quite ready to go see her new room yet. Im sure that she will be there before we know it! Just wanted you to know we are watching her progress on this great blog & are keeping all of you in our thoughts & prayers! Keep up the good work Hannah.
